Who doesn’t love bridal shows?!

Bridal Shows provide couples with an opportunity to see, touch and even taste offerings & services of local wedding professionals. Waking your five senses on show day helps to provide information & ideas. Getting you inspired for your big day.

Bridal Shows are fun, but they can easily burn anyone out. They are designed for wedding couples to meet fabulous wedding experts all in one location. Consider it your one-stop-shop for weddings!

Here at Tootles Event Sitters, we know bridal shows can also be overwhelming. With all of the discounts, door prizes, demonstrations, entertainment and food tastings – you’ll be eager to “netflix & chill”.

However, we would love for you to make the most of these events. That is why we’ve created “9 Tips & Tips to Survive a Bridal Show”. So, go prepare…

EAT A GOOD BREAKFAST
Although many shows offer cake, food samples, hor d’oeuvres and other treats – you should still eat a full meal before entering the show. You don’t want hunger to interrupt your fun!

WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES
From boutique bridal shows to large wedding convention expos, you will be on your feet for most of the time and generally covering a lot of ground. So, wear comfortable shoes to keep you & your feet happy.

CREATE A WEDDING EMAIL ADDRESS
A wedding email address will help you keep all of your wedding planning information together in one account. Example:lastname@gmail.com

 ENTER TO WIN!
Wedding professionals provide real prizes which are generally geared around weddings (perfect for you) so definitely enter to win!  At bridal shows the saying is “few will enter, many will win!”

BRING LABELS
Most exhibiting companies have enter-to-win contests or show specials at their booths.  By having pre-printed labels with your name, wedding date and contact info (wedding email); you can enter contests quickly & provide your information to companies that you are interested in hiring.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT TIME TO GO If you’d like to avoid the crowds and have more intimate conversations with the vendors at the shows, you’ll want to visit the show during a less-busy time. The shows are least crowded during the first night of the show (Friday), followed by the first 3 hours of Saturday and Sunday’s shows. If you can’t make any of those times, also consider the final 2-3 hours of Sunday’s show, but be warned that some vendors tend to close down their booths a bit early!

TAKE NOTES AND PICTURES                                                                          Bridal shows can be overwhelming, especially when you are just starting out.  You want to remember who you spoke with and whose services impressed you even if you are not ready to book right away.  Most exhibitors are happy for you to take photos of their service, but it is always nice to ask.

KEEP AN OPEN MIND
Have a budget in mind; as well as the type of services that you are searching for.  Be prepared to see ideas, services and wedding day inspirations that you had not thought of (The wedding industry is an ever-creative bunch. Always coming up with something new and inventive).  Take the time to check out those services to see if they would be something to incorporate into your special day.

HAVE FUN!
Have fun with wedding planning.  Extend the joy and excitement of your wedding day by enjoying the wedding planning process.  It’s time for you to shine as queen of the day! Attending a bridal show where every exhibitor is interested in knowing about your day including wedding colors, wedding date, engagement and wedding party.  Take the time to talk about your plans and savor the excitement of your upcoming day.
