Ruby Bridges: Children & Racism

Ruby Bridges was a very brave little girl who inspired millions.

At the tender age of six, she passed a test that would allow her to be part of the change!

On November 14th 1960, Ruby Bridges became the first African-American child to integrate a southern elementary school.

Ruby was the only child in her class. Her teacher, Barbara Henry, was able to teach her one-on-one.

Ruby still speaks for school justice and is still fighting for what is right today!
