Child Care FAQ’s

We know that celebrations (of any kind) can create a long day full of excitement, which for some children is a recipe for disaster. Don’t worry, Tootles Event Sitters will save the day!

Event sitting is a specialized and convenient form of childcare. Event Sitting is a mobile child care for weddings, events and vacationing families. We come to you to care for the attendees children and bring the necessary equipment, activities, and entertainment to care for the children for theduration of the event.

Event sitters bring all the necessary equipment, activities, and entertainment necessary to keep children entertained. All items are age-appropriate and include toys, games, movies, gaming systems, infant furniture (pack n plays, high chairs, bouncers, etc.).
We also perform all day care activities from bathroom breaks, meal monitoring, diaper changes, bottle feedings, and nap time. We provide this care to allow parents at the event to become fully engaged in the event, knowing their children’s needs are being met by our caretakers. We complete these activities according to the parents’ schedule, if provided. We also record diaper changes, bottle feedings, and nap time to communicate to parents.

When you arrive to Tootles Event Sitters play space, you will:
-We will welcome you to the play space and introduce ourselves.
-You will check your child(ren) in.
-Your child(ren) will receive a wristband.
-You will receive a business card with our contact information during the event & your child’s wristband number.
-We will confirm any allergies or special requests for your child(ren).
-We will confirm your contact information during the event.
-Your child(ren) will run off to play and you get to go have FUN!

We provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 12.

There are many variables to factor into program pricing. So much depends on those variables: number of children, ages of children, childcare hours, location, activities, special needs, event planning assistance, etc.

We travel throughout the state of Florida. However, we are available to travel for destination weddings by request.

We require a non-refundable retainer to secure your date. The balance is due no later than 30 days before the event.

We will provide a large labeled zip-lock bag to each child at the check-in desk. We ask you to include diapers/wipes if your child is not potty trained & a change of clothes (please be sure to label them). If your child requires a sippy cup or pacifier, you may include that as well (please be sure to label them).

Instead of announcing your event as “Adults Only”, we suggest including a note on your invite that states: “We have a special kids reception that is fit for your little ones.”. You and your guests can relax and enjoy your event without having to worry about the children. Let Tootles Event Sitters care for and entertain your smallest guests while you celebrate your special day as you always have dreamed.

You can either provide the babysitting service as an added accommodation to the guests at your event OR we can assist you in providing a card inside your invites that will let them know that a service has been set up and how to cover the cost. Most parents will gladly help pay; as they are happy to not have to search for care on their own and can take comfort in knowing that their children will be nearby in a designated area.
